"Gold Kuker Festival is the expected triumphant revival of the art of animation in Bulgaria. It is a sublime, solemn moment for young talent presenting their production from all over the world.
For me, as a young animator artist and illustrator, it was a privilege and a reality hoped for to experience the beauty of the really difficult, but very satisfying, amazing art of animation!
A meeting of Good, magic, new ideas and the power of free, creative thought is Gold Kuker Festival 2010."

14.10.2010 Round Table in the Bulgarian National Radio within the Festival Framework
Today, within the framework of Gold Kuker Festival of animated cartoons, a round table has been carried out on the premises of the Bulgarian National Radio on the topic Using Art for the Purposes of Education. Representatives of various institutions, as well as creators, have discussed the way of combining art with education. During Artefir (Art in the Ether) Broadcast, Beloslava Dimitrova has suggested to us two opinions of the topic: Marieta Radoulova, a representative of Parents Association, has said: We consider art a very important self-expression that children have been demonstrating since their earliest age. We want art to be a large constituent of the syllabi in all subjects, so that children are taught to think and create. We have presented at the round table a method we have developed. It includes art-related topics we enter school with. We discuss together with children, thus extracting their potential. Our idea is that children should realize the fact that they can be creators. The role of animation is substantial. However, parents should look out for the epistles of the films their children watch. Nadya Petrova, author of childrens stories: I am convinced of that raising children in the spirit of art should start as early as they are at home. The most precise way of doing this is by means of the story. It makes the child enter the scene of the particular action, thus sympathizing with what is going on with the characters. In this way, children also learn a lot of details about art. This is a long but useful and necessary process.
Catalogue of the festival is printed already. It presents information about the participating films and their creators. You can see it here:
